I love how people interpret the bible in wrong ways, in Leviticus 18:22 says a man shall not lay with another man basically. God doesn’t hate gays, it’s just a sin to act upon it such as intercourse, even intercourse before marriage is also a sin. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute before becoming an actual Saint. I have taught this part before to my students, and yet the message is still not going across… So again and again, the Bible doesn’t state “GOD HATES GAYS”

lolwut I don’t see how that argument is relevant to my post. My post was literally directed towards homosexuals using the Bible as some sort of detoxifying medium to “purify” themselves because they, themselves, have misinterpreted the readings.

It’s not an argument, just stating a fact that a lot of people don’t understand. Some of my homosexual friends hate my faith because they think catholics are gay haters, and are shocked that some churches accept homosexuals.

Actually, @kiannpag, if that part of Leviticus were true, then so should the rest of it. Which means, it’s sinful to transfuse blood, eat blood of an animal, putting on tattoos, and even piercings. But of course, we’re not being sent to hell for eating dinuguan (it’s a Filipino dish with one of its ingredients being pig’s blood, from what I remember), or having ear piercings, having tattoos, blood transfusions, or playing football, no?

Agree to disagree, I guess? :) Ehh, I don’t know. I could be wrong in some places. Lol.

lol I’m filipino so I know exactly what the dish is, but yeah, you’re right on all of the parts actually, we can’t have tattoos and some of it says we can’t even eat fish but yet we’re allowed to eat it on Fridays during Lenten season. T!he bible isn’t literal especially the Old Testament, but yes yes agree to disagree!

Some journalists like to be strictly observers. they don’t intervene, they don’t participate. they just document what they see, even if what they see is terrible. But the way I see it, journalists don’t exist in a vacuum. They are human beings, living and working in a very human environment. And that humanity is essential in relating to their stories. When you lose your humanity, you lose any kind of journalistic integrity you have left.
